THE STORY OF CASSIE’S CONFECTIONS
Cassie's Confections began as a dream when Cassie Coffin was 10. She had grown up surrounded by homemade goodies at a young age. Often visiting her Great-grandmama in southern Canada, Cassie was introduced to a love for all things sweet. She was greeted at the door with the smell of homemade maple donuts before sitting at the table for a never-ending meal. Cassie found that her family's love language was food as she grew. She and her sister, mother, and grandmother would all get together yearly to make roughly 50 Canadian meat pies; a recipe passed down through generations would be brought to every holiday and family or friend event for the following year. Realizing her joy from making and enjoying the pies with those she loved, she knew she wanted to be a Pastry Chef.
While she started small by filling orders for friends and family, eventually, her business grew, and before she knew it, she was catering proms and weddings. She later graduated from Lakes Region Community College with her Pastry Arts degree. She currently works full-time in the Common Man bulk production facility while Cassie's Confections begins to grow. She wants to thank all the family and friends who helped her and all of her future customers for taking a chance on her small business!
